Tesla Motors Inc and Apple Inc. can become a match made in heaven if the hard work of Allen Wong, a veteran app developer, materializes. Both the tech giants can partner together, using their existing products, integrate and improve them, and repack them into a new offering for their existing users.

Mr. Wong, using the development kit of Apple Watch with the application programming interface of Tesla’s Model S, has created something unique. He has made a video in which he has shown Tesla and Apple on his app named Watch Model S. In the video, Model S can be controlled directly from the Apple Watch.

Nikki Gordon-Bloomfied brought the video to everyone's attention, revealing the video at Transport Evolved website. She said that the app was made by an app developer and automobile fanatic.

Although, the control range for using the EV with the Apple Watch is quite limited for now, many experts and Tesla and Apple users have massively admired the groundbreaking technology. Many say that it is cool to unlock their vehicles from their wrists. However, that isn’t sufficient for others.

The Tesla Apple Watch app is operated on Apple’s official operating system, iOS, as a base. As Tesla is striving to update its Model S software, allowing the EV to drive by itself later in 2015. If Tesla has planned to work on such improvement, surely Tesla Model S app for the Apple watch might not be far away.

The energy innovation and EV company wants to add a function in its EVs that would enable users to summon their vehicle anywhere or to make the vehicle park itself in the parking lot. There is huge prospect that this Tesla Motors app might be developed on the iPhone, which would later be incorporated in the Apple Watch.

After watching Mr. Wong’s video, Tesla may plan to roll out its own watches that could control not only its EV but also its newly launched battery storage products. Tesla is known for coming up with technologically advanced vehicles and forming experiences for its drivers that no other automaker can offer.

It must be a dream come true for many Model S drivers to have a watch in which they could see the charging level of their EVs and call the car in front of their door. These are the kinds of features that Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, must be striving incorporate in its innovative products to further his future vision for the EV company.

Tesla is enthusiastic over adding computerized control and automation in its EVs and an unofficial Model S Apple Watch app is evidence that Tesla’s followers should be expecting something extraordinary in Tesla’s cars.
