The second Taiwan International Water Week (TIWW) and the third Circular Economy Taiwan (CE Taiwan) will be jointly held at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 from September 24 to 26, 2020. The TIWW, which focuses on the sustainable use of water resources, will exhibit a large number of turn-key projects for reclaimed water and treatment, plant equipment applications and innovative technologies, while the CE Taiwan, which is committed to maximizing the effectiveness of resource utilization, will expand to showcase cross-industrial applications, innovative business models for circular economy, and technological products and solutions for green energy and environmental protection. In this trade fair, various events such as international forums, product launches, and one-on-one procurement meetings will be also held. Relevant industry players are welcome to register as soon as possible. Those who register before the end of May will enjoy an early bird offer.
According to the forecast of Global Water Intelligence (GWI), the global water market will reach an output value of US$834.1 billion by 2020. In recent years, many advanced countries have been exploring new water sources by developing seawater desalination, reclaimed water and treatment and recycling, and rainwater storage so as to effectively improve the reliability of overall water supply, whether it is supply-oriented water management or demand-oriented water dispatching management. As it is always important to better utilize water resources, there are also huge business opportunities in this field. Moreover, according to the World Economic Forum (WEF) report, the circular economy is expected to create economic benefits of up to US$4.5 trillion in 2030. Therefore, many governments around the world have been actively improving the recycling rate of resources and waste reclamation in the hope to realize the sustainable reuse of zero waste resources as soon as possible.
The first TIWW was held at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 last year and was highly praised by domestic and foreign exhibitors and buyers. Covering both exhibitions and forums, the TIWW will be organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and the Water Resources Agency (WRA) and Taipei City Government have promised to set up their theme pavilions, respectively. We sincerely invite suppliers and manufacturers from home and abroad to showcase their latest products and technologies, to fully present the upstream, midstream, and downstream supply chain of the water resources industry and to make international cooperation even closer. The International Forum hosted by the WRA will invite experts and scholars from the industries, the governments, the universities, and the research institutes from home and abroad to share their insightful views highlighting the economic strategies for the water resources industry. This forum is expected to be very splendid and exciting and to generate outstanding achievements. Meanwhile, the CE Taiwan trade fair will continue to host related seminars, inviting domestic and foreign opinion leaders to discuss the new economic models on how to recycle and extend the life cycle of resources, in a hope to drive industrial upgrading.
Both the TIWW and CE Taiwan will provide excellent platforms for domestic and foreign suppliers and buyers to matchmake their deals and to announce new products and technologies. They will also serve as an excellent medium to exchange views and opinions among the industries, the governments and the universities.
