2013 Taipei International Auto Parts& Auto motive Electronics Forum
In recent years, collaboration between the automotive industry and the mobile communications industry has become increasingly close. Forecasts by Machina Research estimate that Internet-connected devices will bring about some US$4.5 trillion in industry output value in 2020, with connected vehicles the largest contributor to this figure with US$600 billion, while vehicle anti-theft systems will contribute US$245 billion, new commercial models for vehicles will contribute US$225 billion, and electric vehicle charging will contribute US$75 billion. 90% of new vehicles are projected to feature some form of in-car connected systems by 2020. The next development trend is expected to include a diverse range of different applications for onboard Internet connections.
"High energy, high performance and high energy-saving" was specially designated as the major theme of the 2012 Automotive Electronics Forum. The most advanced industry players and industry experts in the country and abroad were invited to participate in this distinguished and diverse gathering for the automotive electronics industry.
