Asia’s Biggest Toys Event to Return with the 41st Edition
The HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair is the largest event of its kind in Asia and the second largest in the world. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 41st edition will be held from 12-15 January 2015 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. In the 2014 edition, more than 41,000 buyers from 121 countries and regions attended the fair to explore trading opportunities.
“As the first industry event in the calendar year in 2015, the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair will feature some 2,000 exhibitors which provide international buyers with a superb opportunity to get a head start on planning and sourcing for the coming seasons, including an assessment of the key trends,” said Benjamin Chau, Deputy Executive Director, HKTDC.
From Traditional to Hi-Tech Gadgets
The show encompasses all aspects of the industry, showcasing a comprehensive range of product categories in various themed zones, from traditional toys to high-tech games. Launched in the 2014 edition with huge success, the Smart-Tech Toys zone will return to highlight the trend of innovative toys that combine traditional elements with smart technology to offer exciting play experience. These include toys controlled through mobile apps, as well as toys which incorporated Near Field Communication (NFC) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies.
Toys for All Ages
Toys are not only dedicated for kids, but also the young at heart. The fair has all age sectors covered, from tweenies and teens, to adults and seniors. The zone Kidult World features a wide selection of sophisticated products created for grown-ups, including hobby goods, magic items, vehicles, mechanical toys and action figures.
Therapy Toys display area will showcase designs that help train up coordination or relieve stress and other problems of both children and the elderly.
The fair will also launch a new zone, Sporting Goods and Playground Facilities, located in Convention Hall, to cater to the growing global focus on health and exercise.

The established Brand Name Gallery will once again showcase brands that guarantee quality and safety such as 4M, Beleduc, Boo, Educo, CMC, COG - EIN-O SCIENCE, EverEarth, Eastcolight, Geoworld, Gund, Hape, INTEX, Moulin Roty, Osprey, PlanToys, Vtech, Welly, etc.
Other themed zones include Candy Toys; Educational Toys & Games; Electronics & Remote Control Toys; Festive & Party Items, Toy Parts & Accessories; Multiple Toys Products/General Merchandise; Outdoor & Sporting Items; Paper Products & Toy Packaging; Soft Toys & Dolls; Testing, Inspection & Certification; Trade Services and Video Games.
Industry Events
Despite the wide variety of products for suppliers and buyers to explore trading business, the fair will also provide opportunities for visitors to keep abreast of the latest developments in the toys and games industry, as well as strengthen their networks. The value-added activities include Hong Kong Toys Industry Conference with the theme of “Evolution of Toys Industry”, seminars focusing on the latest industry topics, Product Demo and Launch Pad featuring exhibitors’ new products and networking receptions for industry players to exchange information.
The fair will also showcase Hong Kong Toys and Baby Products Award, a competition which highlights innovative, creative, eco-friendly toys and baby products.
Crossover Business Opportunities
Held concurrently with the 41st edition of HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair are the HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, Hong Kong International Stationery Fair and HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show. The four fairs scheduled in mid-January 2015 will provide abundant trading opportunities and good potential for crossover business activities among the participants from various sectors.
