Eurobike provides a broad overview of the industry

The finishing touches are being put on the premieres and bike manufacturers’ R&D departments are running at full speed. The innovations for the 2016 bike season have to be ready when the curtain rises. The Eurobike is the international platform for the world’s biggest innovations in cycling. Preparations for the international bicycle trade exhibition itself are also in full swing. From August 26 to 29, 2015, media and expert attention will be focused on the cycling world when it meets at the fairgrounds at Lake Constance. The bicycle industry’s latest innovations will be honored with the Eurobike Award and the newest bikes will be put to their first hard tests at Eurobike Demo Day on August 25, 2015. Project Leader Dirk Heidrich and Eurobike Head Stefan Reisinger have a firm grasp of all of the preparations: “The international bicycle trade exhibition is well booked.” Everything related to bicycles and bike accessories, fashion and a wealth of specialist information about bikes will be spread across more than 100,000 square meters in 13 exhibition halls.


 

More than 1,300 exhibitors, 46,000 industry visitors from over 100 countries, 20,000 bike fans and about 2,000 journalists are expected at the 2015 Eurobike.  The trade show is open to industry visitors during its first three days. On Saturday, August 29, 2015, the show’s doors will open for all bike fans.“This is where all of the people from all over the world who are professionally tied to bicycles and the bicycle industry meet,” Klaus Wellmann and Eurobike Head Stefan Reisinger explain. They are confident that “Lake Constance is where the spotlight is shined on the new trends for the next season for the first time.” The immense bike show offers a comprehensive overview of the market: Everyday bikes, sport bikes, e-bikes, cargo bikes, children’s bikes and reclining bikes.  The newest bike fashions will take to the catwalk and informative discussions will be held during an accompanying program focusing on current issues in the industry. Trying things out is always encouranged at the show: At the Trade Fair Lake, an obstacle course has been set up for reclining bike enthusiasts. E-bike riders will have the opportunity to test the newest models daily in the Zeppelin hall or on the test track on the Waldstrasse. Bike acrobats and jumpers will be able to take big leaps at the Lake Jump in the Trade Fair Lake.The curtain will rise on the innovations for the 2016 bike season at Lake Constance on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. At the ninth edition of Eurobike Demo Day, about 150 exhibitors will present their product innovations to international industry and media representatives right on the fairgrounds.


 

This year, the Eurobike will once again bundle the bicycle industry’s expertise at the Eurobike Academy 2015. The academy’s various educational offerings are targeted at newcomers as well as those with more experience. They are sure to provide everyone with new insights, whether they be retailers or manufacturers, workshop staff or business managers. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the focus will be on topics such as bike sharing, fundamentals of the bike trade, bike leasing and many other current questions. The latest bike fashions will be on show in East Foyer during the Eurobike Fashion Show. From Wednesday to Saturday at 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., apparel manufacturers will present everything that makes cycling and biking practical and stylish, while also offering protection from the sun, wind and rain.

For the eleventh time, new products that feature outstanding design, quality and functionality are being honored at the bicycle industry’s leading trade show.Travel Talk brings the bicycle and tourism industries together at the international level. On Friday, August 28th, the newest trends and innovations in bicycle tourism will be presented and discussed at the Eurobike.



Opening hours

The Eurobike international bike trade exhibition will be open to industry visitors only from Wednesday, August 26, to Friday, August 28, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and open to the general public from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on public day, Saturday, August 29. Eurobike Demo Day will take place on Tuesday, August 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is only open to trade visitors and accredited journalists.
