The fair season has opened with the exhibitions organized by ITE Turkey. WorldFood Istanbul and Ipack Turkey exhibitions, sector’s summit in the region gathering food and packaging sectors under a one roof, hosted 14.247 professional visitors.
There has been a great international participation to both exhibitions that had a great interest by Turkish food and packaging sector professionals. The exhibitions hosted professional visitors from 119 different countries including Brazil, China Germany, India, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Peru ,South Korea, and South Africa,
The 23rd WorldFood Istanbul and the 30th Ipack Turkey exhibitions, international summit of the sector where the latest trends and technologies in food products, food technologies, packaging and food processing systems are exhibited, organized by ITE Turkey who organizes leading exhibitions in leading sectors of Turkey, received great attention. The exhibitions that took place at Istanbul Expo Center, CNR Expo on a field of 60.000 sqm between the dates of September 3rd and September 6th, gathered 562 participating companies from 42 countries with 14.247 visitors from 119 different countries.
In order for the participating companies and professional visitors to experience a more productive and efficient exhibition, WorldFood Istanbul and Ipack Turkey have been organized in accordance with the product groups for the first time this year, With the domestic – foreign “Procurement Committees Organizations” organized as part of the exhibition, there has been lots of positive conversations between the participating companies and the professional visitors during the exhibitions. It is expected that B2Bs which were held during the exhibitions contribute posivitively to the growth and development of food and packaging sectors that have export surplus in our country.

The “Domestic – Foreign Procurement Committee Organizations” we organized before and during the exhibition received great attention from both the participants and the visitors. We believe the exhibitions, that are the biggest sector gathering of the region and the latest trends, products and technologies of the sector which are exhibited, will have a positive contribution to the sector and the national economy.
During the exhibitions, we started the field selling and rebookings of 2016 for the participating companies. This shows that next year, the attention for the exhibitions will continue to increase. We present our special thanks to the sector professionals for their attention.”
Participating companies and professional visitors came together with the “Domestic and Foreign Procurement Committees Organization”...
As part of the “Domestic Procurement Committees Program” organized by ITE Turkey, professional visitors from Afyonkarahisar, Aksaray, Bilecik, Bursa, Canakkele, Denizli, Isparta, Izmir, Manisa and Usak met with the participating companies for 4 days.
Within the “Foreign Procurement Committees Program” organized with the support of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Economy; committees from 19 countries including Azerbaijan, Bosnia – Herzegovina, Bulgaria, England, France, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kosovo, Macedonia, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, South Korea and U.A.E had B2B meetings with the exhibition participants before and during the exhibition. In addition, as part of the international promotion activities of the exhibitions, procurement committees from Kosovo and Kazakhstan were hosted as well.

The international competition Tea Masters Cup took place at WorldFood!
The Tea Masters Cup competition, participated by professional tea masters, took place in Turkey for the first time at WorldFood Istanbul. In the competition that has international qualification, Russia took the first place in “tea brewing and tea tasting” and Russia and Belarus shared the first place in the “tea set” category. Zeynep Erkan, who competed in the “tea tasting” category on behalf of Turkey, became second in the world and the visitors followed the competition for 3 days.
During the exhibitions, with cooperation of public and sectoral NGO’s, many seminars covering the topics of “Grant and Support Programs Related to R&D and Investments in Turkey” and “Turkish Agriculture and Investment Opportunities” took place.
Ipack Turkey in its 30th anniversary!
This year, packaging and food processing systems exhibition Ipack Turkey was organized for the 30th time. The exhibition where the latest trend and technologies that make it possible for the food products to be preserved healthier and for a longer time are exhibited received great attention from domestic and foreign procurement committees. As part of the “Foreign Procurement Committees Program” organized by ITE Turkey, the procurement committees from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan had talks with companies during the exhibition.
This year, the exhibitions were supported by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Republic of Turkey Ministry of Economy, Federation of Food & Drink Industry Associations of Turkey (TGDF), TÜGİDER, PAKDER and 24 other associations under one roof of TGDF, Izmir Chamber of Commerce (İZTO) and KOSGEB.
Next year, WorldFood Istanbul and Ipack Turkey will take place between September 1st and September 4th 2016.
